THE MISSION

Transformative Radical Farming

To address the critical decline of biodiversity and meet net-zero targets in the UK, we need commercially incentivised nature-based solutions to create new markets for woodland foods. To accelerate new supply chain opportunities, increase productivity, and promote resilience by applying a whole-system approach underpinned by agroforestry and forest gardening.

FARM INNOVATION

Diversifying Farms & Landscapes

Enabling the deployment ecological food systems to meet the challenges facing farmers and foresters, by growing the regenerative food, under agroforestry and forest gardening principles to meet the demands of new supply chains. Driving innovative that’s brings together foresters, farmers and growers with some of the largest UK food service companies. Our network will drive innovation, enabling us to support farmers capability to investigate, and understand the opportunities and challenges of woodland food farming.

SUPPLY CHAIN INNOVATION

Woodland & Perennials Foods

A Platform for engagement across all our partners and their sectors, from farm to retailer to consumers. Our vertically integrated approach provides opportunity to bring more regenerative, woodland foods into the retail hospitality sector, in a manner which is ecological and commercially

CARBON STORE INNOVATION

Capturing and Storing Carbon

The program focuses on supporting the deployment of ecological systems to meet UK carbon sequestration challenges. We are enabling the large-scale process of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon dioxide in UK soils, reducing the amount in the atmosphere. The sequestration of carbon will be achieved through our collaboration with partners, farmers and landowners, focused on minimising the effects of global climate change.

Commercial Partners

The programme will provide evidence to RegenFarmCo’s commercial food partners to make informed investment decisions for larger-scale regenerative agriculture development in the Yorkshire uplands and beyond. In addition, supporting a decentralised market for regenerative food crops will increase locally produced food products to contribute to the Northern economy.
